Woman, 20, assaults officer during OVI arrest: Shaker Heights Police Blotter

OVI: Kemper Road

At 11:35 p.m. Sept. 9, an officer watched as a car was driven through a red light. The car then proceeded to travel the wrong way down a one-way street. 

A traffic stop was conducted and it was found that the car’s driver, a Shaker Heights woman, 20, was impaired. The woman was charged with OVI. In addition, police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the woman’s car.https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html

As police arrested the woman, she became combative and assaulted an officer. The woman was taken to the hospital and refused sobriety testing.

OVI: Chagrin Boulevard

At 11:15 p.m. Sept. 6, police were called to 19708 Chagrin Blvd., where a car had been driven into a retaining wall. Officers found that the car’s driver, a South Euclid man, 42, was intoxicated. The man was arrested for OVI and taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Warrant arrest: South Woodland Road

At 11:05 a.m. Sept. 8, an officer stopped a car after its driver ran a red light. It was then discovered that the driver, a Maple Heights man, 22, was wanted on theft and traffic warrants issued by Solon police.https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html

Police cited the man for driving through a red light, arrested him and turned him over to Solon police.

Theft: Traver Road

At 4:20 p.m. Sept. 9, police were called to a home where a bicycle had been stolen. Police were able to track the bike and found it in the possession of a boy, 14.
