Drunk driving: Lorain Road
On July 24, police responded to a report about a drunk man who was attempting to fight people in a parking lot. He was arrested and charged with drunken driving.
Drug investigation: Center Ridge Road
On July 28, police investigated a complaint at a gas station about a reckless driver. A 25-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other controlled substances.
Drug investigation: Mills Road
Police stopped a driver for speeding on July 25. The driver and the passenger both had warrants for their arrest and possessed controlled substances. The driver was charged with cocaine possession and speeding and transferred to Lorain County Jail. His passenger was transferred to Brook Park police for her warrant. Charges for possession of controlled substances are pending lab results.
Disorderly conduct: Lear Nagle Road
On July 25, officers were dispatched on a domestic-violence call. A woman reported that her boyfriend was drunk and had locked her out. The boyfriend was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Drunken driving: Oak Street
Officers were dispatched for an accident on July 23. A man was arrested and charged with drunken driving, OVI refusal and reckless operation.
Burglary: Cornell Avenue
Officers were dispatched about a burglary complaint on July 22. A suspect was located and arrested with property from the residence and was charged with burglary.
Juvenile complaint: Bainbridge Road
On July 5, police were dispatched regarding a suspicious situation involving two teens. One was transported to the hospital and the other was released to his family. Both were referred to juvenile court.
Breaking and entering: Pitts Boulevard
On July 18, police responded to a report of a teen entering the North Ridgeville Schools bus garage. He was referred to juvenile court on charges of breaking and entering, criminal trespass and theft.
Fleeing: Lorain Road
Police were involved in a pursuit following a traffic stop July 17. The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.
