  3. Cretella, Michael: Traffic Violations: Every Point Counts In Ohio, drivers who are cited for certain types of traffic violations accumulate points. Accumulate 12 points within any two year period and your drivers' license will be suspended. Because every point counts, talking to a lawyer before you pay the fine (in essence, plead guilty) makes sense Ñ particularly with four- and six-point violations such as: * Driving under suspension or after revocation * Driving under a Financial Responsibility Act suspension (no insurance) * Disregard for the safety of others (reckless driving) * Excessive speeding * Operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVI/DUI) Although it's not always possible to "beat" a traffic ticket, it can be done and we have done so for previous clients. At the very least, we may be able to negotiate your citation down to a violation that carries fewer points. Administrative License Suspensions (ALS) Once you've been pulled over, tested, arrested and officially charged with a DUI Ñ a clock starts ticking. There are strict time deadlines and procedures that must be followed and your failure to comply with these deadlines and procedures could result in serious consequences.
  4. Korduba, Andrew: If you are facing criminal charges, traffic violations, personal injury, a divorce, or possible bankruptcy, chances are you have more on your mind than you know what to do with. Dealing with matters of the law can be overwhelming and frustrating, especially when your future swings in the balance.
