  6. Family Refutes CHP claim of DUI in Deadly Accident

    20 year old Orlando Benitez was charged with DUI following an accident on August 4th at American and Fig Avenues near Easton. The three passengers in his vehicle were all thrown from the car and killed. Now his family says they can prove he was not driving under the influence.

    Between Aug. 12 and September 6 extra driving under the influence or DUI patrols will travel King County roadways in search of impaired drivers. This Drive Hammered, Get Nailed will be the largest summer DUI enforcement campaign ever with 172 agencies participating throughout the state including officers from Covington, Maple Valley and Black Diamond.
