Mother arrested on DUI charges at Newport Grammar
A mother of a Newport Grammar student was arrested Thursday on charges of DUI. According to police reports, Lt. Jason Ramsey and Patrolwoman Amy Elswick responded to a call made by Principal Sandy Burchette concerning a highly intoxicated woman attempting to pick up her child.

Collier County sheriffâs deputies arrested a 38-year-old motorcycle driver at home on Monday night after he led them on a chase at speeds in excess of 120 mph, authorities said. Charles Dennis Allen, 1310 27th St. S.W., Golden Gate Estates, was arrested on the charges of fleeing and eluding, DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving without a motorcycle endorsement.
